Background

"kobune" means a small boat in Japanese.

The client named to be a rower to bring Japanese potteries to France.

Also, this is the owner's first business, so he wants to start his venture on a vast expanse of water with a small boat.

Inspirations

Since the shop targets are people who love Japanese traditional culture(especially "wabi-sabi"), I got inspirations from "Mitate", one of the most important concepts of Japanese culture.

We have "sasabune", which is toy bamboo-leaf boat, and "origami". I combined these concept into the logo.
